Once the rug has been inspected we will give you a brief report of any concerns we have and how we are going to proceed as well as the result you should expect.
Your rugs are unique!
Many dyes in older rugs are vegetable based and like other types of dye it can be unstable when subjected to some cleaning solutions. So one of the more important pre clean tests we do is a dye test. We clamp a piece of tissue which is soaked in the cleaning solution to the rug and leave it for a few minutes. If the colour from the rug transfers to the tissue we know that we cannot use that cleaning solution and must choose a weaker alternative.
