This parquet floor was laid a number of years ago to compliment this room. The new owners of the property wanted to have it restored as they were having other work done in the room to include decorating and bifold doors. The floor sanded extremely well and was ready to oil the same day! The oil we use is called Magic Oil and is produced in Germany by our friends at Pallman. It is a unique combination of oil and wax and together with a hardener which is added prior to application it is a very durable product. It protects the wood from the inside as it soaks in and also produces a cross-linking protective layer on the top of the wood, this is a huge benefit. From a customers point of view, this is almost as important as the way it looks. For looks the oil cannot be beaten, it highlights every grain so brings out the natural beauty of any wood species. It has to be considered for any wood floor restoration project in any situation.
