The owner of the dance floor is keen to keep the custom of the numerous dance enthusiasts who use the facility on a nightly basis. It is, therefore, important that the floor looks great but also is smooth to make some dance moves possible!
As well as looking great it is vital that a long lasting coating system is used as the floor is 40 years old and has been sanded several times before. If sanded too many times the veneer will be lost and the floor will need to be replaced.
After sanding, we used a base coat and three coats of our strongest lacquer making sure we lightly sanded in between coats to leave a smooth finish suitable for dancing on.
