Looking after your timber floor is a simple process, it’s also necessary as a regular clean will give it lasting good looks.

The basic rule is to sweep it often and mop it little as possible. Sweeping you timber floor every day with just a microfibre flat mop or just an ordinary brush will remove small stones and grit which act like sandpaper, scratching and damaging the surface of the timber floor. The reason for mopping as little as possible is because unless you change you mop water very regularly during cleaning you can actually end up spreading dirty water all over the floor, making things worse.

Where possible wipe up spills locally and as soon as possible, this will stop liquids or food items damaging the floor.
