Keeping Your Wooden Floor Looking Beautiful
In many commercial buildings, a wooden floor is a valuable asset — durable, easy to maintain, and adding a touch of class to any space. Over time, however, the constant foot traffic in offices, retail units, and other busy commercial areas can take its toll. Even the most hard-wearing timber floors will eventually show signs of wear, fading, and surface damage. That’s when commercial wood floor restoration can bring them back to life.

The Floor Blimey! 6-Step Commercial Wood Floor Restoration Process
1. Full Assessment and Survey
We begin by ensuring your wooden floor is dry, sound, and stable. Room and floor temperature, humidity, and wood moisture levels are measured to confirm they fall within accepted limits. We also check that there’s enough wood depth for safe sanding.
2. Preparation
Any surface obstructions, such as protruding nails or screw heads, are removed, and necessary repairs are made to create an even, safe surface.
3. Sanding to a Consistent Level
Using our professional dust-free sanding equipment, we methodically sand the floor to a consistent level. The process is repeated with progressively finer abrasives to achieve a smooth, flawless finish.
4. Filler Coat
The floor is thoroughly vacuumed to remove dust and debris. We then apply a filler mixture — made from fine wood dust and a binding compound — evenly across the floor to fill any gaps and imperfections.
5. Final Sanding
A fine-grit belt sanding removes the filler’s surface, followed by rotary sanding to blend in any marks. The floor is vacuumed again to leave a perfectly clean surface.
6. Finish Coat
An oil or lacquer finish is applied based on your preference. Once dry, the floor is buffed with a rotary polishing machine to protect the surface and enhance its appearance.
